Adventure: The Maiden of the Sea
Centred around the busy tavern The Maiden of the Sea, this collection of short adventures introduce the characters to the hidden secrets, intrigues and hazards of a small coastal town. Hosted on the Shard Tabletop VTT, these 5e Compatible adventures are set in the world of Ordinem.
Player's Introduction
This adventure is set in the small coastal town of Caister, in the land of Valamire, and centres around a rowdy dockside tavern by the name of The Maiden of the Sea. All sorts come to this tavern to drink hard, let their hair down or have a good fight. And this includes sailors, smuggles, foolhardy locals, even the odd pirate, and any number of other ne'er-do-wells and ruffians. Some retired and others far from it.
This tavern is a boiling pot for adventure which will expose the less desirable side of this otherwise apparently respectable town. You will uncover the hidden secrets of the town and its people, resulting in unexpected dramas and rewards.
This adventure focuses on the social interaction aspect of role playing, with dramatic adventure and combat as the stories unfold.
Game Master’s Introduction
How many times has a Game Master started an adventure in a tavern, but instead of following the lead they have planned the players examine everyone in the tavern for secret motives that don't exist, while their characters come across as suspiciously as they possibly can.
This scenario centres around a tavern known as The Maiden of the Sea, which is full of suspicious locals and unexplained happenings. One adventure leads to another as the characters follow leads that are all related in one way or another, and embroil the characters in the town’s goings on.
This scenario focuses on providing clues that will encourage the players to investigate and will lead them to drama and adventure in this otherwise sleepy small town.
